AUCKLAND - WELLINGTON - AUCKLAND
9 DAY TOUR
Arrive at Auckland Airport to prepare for your tour, you will be picked up from the airport and taken to your accommdation at the Gateway Hotel by your guides Bruce & Winnie and given a briefing on your tour and a warm welcome to Ao Tea Roa ( New Zealand).
DAY ONE; ; early rise at 7-30 start for your trip to the WAITOMO CAVES with stop offs to view more of Auckland on the way through to some of our Agricultural and Dairy country. We arrive at Waitomo around 10-30 to view the GLOW WORM CAVES and the RUAKURI CAVES in the morning and BILLY BLACKS WOODLYNN PARK in the afternoon where we will stay at the BIG BIRD BED & BREAKFAST where you will all get a tour around their emu farm before

DAY TWO & THREE: ; Day one we will see the AGRADOME FARM SHOW, WHAKAREWAREWA THERMAL VILLAGE and a concer t and hangi at the MITAI VILLAGE. Free time here to enjoy the surrounding and unique thermal attractions or choose any of the options available
On day 2 you can try out the Mineral Spas at the Polynesian Spa or even go to the HELLS GATE and the ladies can enjoy bathing in the thermal mud pools ( It can be a risky thing this as the say the Ladies can look so much younger once they have got out) other activities are helicopter trips across the lakes and volcanic mountains close by
We spend one more night here then onto.

An option with a difference to see the City or Lakes in ROTORUA:
  
;DAYS FOUR; & FIVE; And a trip through to LAKE TAUPO. On the way we will stop at the WAI O TAPU THERMAL VALLEY, the volcanic centre and HUKA FALLS. . Free time here for a cruise on the lake or some BUNGY JUMPING, SKY DIVING or just spending time shopping or just lazing around in the TAUPO SPAS. This will take the two days here and both Winnie and I are available to help you choose what you would like to do in your spare time

DAY SIX;& SEVEN ,We will be on our way to the TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK and a chance to take some really nice walks around this unique volcanic area in the Central North Island with a special trip up the second largest mountain in New Zealand MT RUAPEHU on the ski lifts ( these take you about ¾ of the way up, you will need really warm clothes up here as it will be quite cold or maybe very cold.
During the Summer there are plenty of short nature walks for the family and the TONGARIRO CROSSING for the more fit and healthy, during the winter there are two of the largest ski areas in New Zealand.

DAY EIGHT ; You are on our way to Wellington; on a scenic train trip.
You will arrive in Wellington at approximately 8pm and be met by your driver who will take you to your accommodation.
DAY NINE ;Is a free day for you, your hotel Is placed strategically in the centre of Wellington shopping centre on Lambton Quay close to the Parliament Buildings, the water front and the Te papa Museum, I will select some of the main highlights that you may be interested in seeing, but I would suggest you also confide in your driver who will pick you up from the train station for his input as well. I will also have the same driver arrange too pick you up for your return to the airport from your accommodation.. I will arrange with him a pick up time which you must be there for otherwise it is a long walk back to Auckland. Winnie and I will meet you at the Auckland airport for your transfer to the Gateway Hotel
DAY 10 ; We are sorry to say but this is the day you leave us for your trip back home. There will be a short tour around the local area and if we have time to the top of One Tree Hill, a very historical sight.
